The Laughing Corpse – Part 1 Sexy Musings

As I mentioned more than a month ago, I am reading the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton, which starts with Guilty Pleasures. Onto book 2: The Laughing Corpse! I’m reading about 175 pages a week. Each week, I’ll be bringing you two posts: a review of the book and a related kinky post. This is a kinky post!

Description from Good Reads: Harold Gaynor offers Anita Blake a million dollars to raise a 300-year-old zombie. Knowing it means a human sacrifice will be necessary, Anita turns him down. But when dead bodies start turning up, she realizes that someone else has raised Harold’s zombie–and that the zombie is a killer. Anita pits her power against the zombie and the voodoo priestess who controls it.

In The Laughing Corpse Anita will learn that there are some secrets better left buried-and some people better off dead…

The Laughing Corpse (Chapters 1-17)

In The Laughing Corpse (and I think in many of the Anita Blake books), kidnapping comes up. Certainly in this book, it’s not a sexy thing. It’s a scary thing. But even when it’s not supposed to be sexy, I have trouble thinking of kidnapping any other way. I was under ten years old when I first started fantasizing about getting kidnapped. Wild to think about looking back decades later. I didn’t understand what I was fantasizing about, exactly, but I definitely did. I would imagine being kidnapped and cared for by a mysterious stranger. What would I do for them? Anything.

And now, decades later…yeah, it’s a sexy thought. I don’t think I would like it in reality, of course, but it’s one that I love to think about.

What about you? What’s your earliest kinky fantasy? Do you have any fantasies that fascinate you but you wouldn’t want to do in real life?

Hope you enjoy this foray into the world of Anita Blake! What else are you reading? Come back next week for the conclusion of the novel!
