As I mentioned over a month ago, I am reading the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton, which starts with Guilty Pleasures. Onto book 3: Circus of the Damned! I’m reading about 175 pages a week. Each week, I’ll be bringing you two posts: a review of the book and a related kinky post. This is the kinky musings part of the first half of Circus of the Damned!
Description from Good Reads: In Circus of the Damned-now in trade paperback for the first time-a rogue master vampire hits town, and Anita gets caught in the middle of an undead turf war. Jean-Claude, the Master Vamp of the city, wants her for his own-but his enemies have other plans. And to make matters worse, Anita takes a hit to the heart when she meets a stunningly handsome junior high science teacher named Richard Zeeman. They’re two humans caught in the crossfire-or so Anita thinks.
Circus of the Damned Part 1 (Ch 1-21)
How comfortable do you feel being nude in front of others? In Circus of the Damned, there are a lot of characters who wander around naked. And, well, when you’re a shapeshifter, it makes sense to not wear clothes. If you’re wearing clothes when you shapeshift, you’ll ruin them. I think it definitely shocks Anita that so many people are casually nude, but what do you think?
I definitely have never been particularly comfortable with my body or being nude. I will sometimes wander around the house naked, but I’ll be wrapped in a blanket most of the time. Richard, on the other hand, sheds his pants the moment he walks into the house (assuming we don’t have company) and would be naked all the time. And yet, I sleep nude, and I am always uncomfortable sleeping any other way, and Richard sleeps with underwear on. Just an amusing turn of events.
I tried it once, just didn’t feel right. Each to their own, I say.

Definitely! It’s good to try things, but not everything is right for every person. 🙂
