The Killing Dance – Part 2 Sexy Story

As I mentioned more than a month ago, I am reading the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton, which starts with Guilty Pleasures. Onto book 6: The Killing Dance! I’m reading about 175 pages a week. Each week, I’ll be bringing you two posts: a review of the book and a related kinky post. This is a related sexy story!

Bathtubs are a great feature in many stories, and this one is no exception. Here is a reimagined scene with a bathtub:

He lights a candle and turns the harsh overhead lights off. The flickering candle makes the room feel warm and cozy as she slips into the tub of hot water. It’s peaceful in the warm water. She sinks back into the water and listens for the sounds of him walking away, but they don’t come. Her eyes flutter back open, and she sees him standing there, watching her.

“Yes?” she asks, her voice steady.

“I just like watching you.”

She’s self-conscious then, worrying about what he’s thinking.

“You’re beautiful.”

“I don’t want you to touch me.”

“Don’t worry. I know. I won’t.”

But he doesn’t leave. He stands there, watching her still.

She tries to pretend like it doesn’t bother her. She lets her eyes close, though her ears are hyperaware of him.

And finally, gratefully, she hears his footsteps as he retreats from the bathroom and closes the door behind himself.

Their relationship is complicated. On one hand, she feels like she should feel comfortable being naked in front of him, but she isn’t. She isn’t comfortable being naked in front of anyone. But she is glad that he is so respectful. She feels lucky that she has him, even if she is still keeping him at arm’s length.

Hope you enjoy this foray into the world of Anita Blake! What else are you reading? Come back next week for the next novel!
