As I mentioned a few months ago, I am reading the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton, which starts with Guilty Pleasures. Onto book 8: Blue Moon! I’m reading about 175 pages a week. Each week, I’ll be bringing you two posts: a review of the book and a related kinky post. This is my review of the book post!
Description from Goodreads: When she chose master vampire Jean-Claude over her ex-fiancé, alpha werewolf Richard Zeeman, Anita learned that sometimes love is not enough. But though she and Richard won’t be walking down any aisles, she can’t turn her back on him when he’s arrested on a rape charge in Tennessee. Anita knows firsthand that Richard has the morals of a saint—or at least a boy scout. But his guilt or innocence is not the issue. He’s behind bars, and in five days a full moon will rise…
#8 Blue Moon Part 1 (Ch 28-end)
Non-spoilery Review:
Oh it’s so good. So, so good. I won’t spoil the ending here, but man! It’s a good one. Lots of action, suspense, and thrill, but also major character development. I sometimes question why Anita isn’t as open to some things relationship-wise that I think she should be (or that I would be), but then again, I’ve never even held a gun, so what do I know about Anita’s life?
Here is the link to my very rough notes about this part of the book, including notes on characters and plot. It’s mostly for me, but if you had read it in the past and just need a refresher, it would suffice, though it doesn’t read nicely!
