‘Tis the Season

Jayden: Mostly a. I like to host the holidays, and I include family and friends as well.

Richard: I guess a? I don’t really celebrate the December holidays.

2. What is your favorite holiday tradition or thing that you like to do every holiday season?

Jayden: I have a bunch, but the stockings are probably my favorite. We wrap everything in the stockings and open them one item, one person at a time. It takes a long time, but it’s so much fun.

Richard: None.

Thank you to Swinging Gemma for this week’s TMI Tuesday questions.

Fantasy Anyone?

1. Do you think that acting out a fantasy can sometimes cause damage to a relationship?

Jayden: I’m sure it’s possible, especially if one person has a serious kink that the other one isn’t into, but I think Richard and I are safe. Let’s act them all out!

Richard: (I snuffed Jayden and am typing these responses for her.)

2. Some couples roleplay their fantasies rather than introducing another person into the relationship to live out their fantasies. Do you think that this is an acceptable substitute?

Jayden: Sure. It’s a lot of fun to roleplay things. Sometimes it’s fun to bring in another person. I’m not opposed to that (I mean, you can’t exactly roleplay a gang bang…), but I think it’s a good substitute in most circumstances.

Richard: I think it’s not just acceptable, but probably better for most people. “Headhunting” a person specifically to fulfill a fetish is impractical at best, and that most people don’t need an actual doctor/teacher/serial killer for their fantasies. 

3. Is there a particular movie or TV series or character from a movie or TV series that you fantasize about?

Jayden: Nah, I mostly just fantasize about Richard, so… But I do have a crush on Pierce Brosnan, I just don’t fantasize about him all the time.

Richard: Not really. There’s probably dozens I’ve jerked off to however many times over the years, but none that stand out.

4. Apart from the obvious things like child abuse, are there some things that are ‘off limits’ for a fantasy e.g. incest fantasies, age play, rape fantasies. Why/ why not?

Jayden: Probably. I can’t think of any that aren’t obvious. My limits are prettttty extensive.

Richard: Yeah, I can’t think of anything. If it’s not dangerous/illegal to act out, people should be free to go ahead. If it is… eh, situational. (I lean more towards RACK in general.)

5. What is the most taboo thing you have ever fantasized about doing?

Jayden: Is rape taboo? I feel like in kink communities, consensual non-consent is not very taboo. Breeding is a fun kink, though.

Richard: I feel like there’s a weird line here between “taboo” (which I associate more with “we don’t talk about this”) and actually criminal/immoral. Rape isn’t particularly taboo; you hear about rape in the news every day. It is, obviously, very criminal/immoral. Conversely, there’s a whole range of fantasies that are legal (or at least not first degree felonies) but that people are much more reluctant to talk about (most race/orientation/identity play type things). All this to say, probably the “worst” fantasy I’ve ever had would be some kind of “trapping” scenario, where someone is unable to say no to me, but also doesn’t want to, since that’s both technically rape, and also seems emotionally worse? Anything on the captor/prisoner, boss/subordinate, teacher/student, priest/nun type theme, but leaning into the coerced consent aspect.

6. Tell us about a fantasy that you have that you don’t ever see yourself actually acting out. Why do you think you will never act it out?

Jayden: Uhh, as established, if it’s not like child abuse, I’m down for almost anything.

Richard: Jayden will, regrettably, probably never be my harem sommelier, carefully selecting the appropriate partner for my current mood/kinks.

7. Have you ever pretended the person you were having sex with was someone else without telling them?

Jayden: Yeah… but not in a very long time. (Like multiple years.) It was pre-Richard.

Richard: I don’t think so. Like, I’ve certainly had fantasies flit around mid sex, but not, “this isn’t Jayden, it’s Becky,” or whatever.

8. Have you ever tried to make a fantasy a reality only to have it fail miserably? What happened?

Jayden: Yeah, I tried swinging with my ex once. It was not good. Not good at all. We got better at open relationships, but… in the end, it failed.

Richard: No specific fantasies, but I’ve certainly had individual kinks/scenes not work out at the time.

Jayden: I don’t know if there’s a most cherished fantasy. Maybe the first time Richard and I were together, which I’ve written about in the past. Some men who have been treated for Prostate Cancer are unable to get an erection.

1. If they were treated with surgery, the usual reason is nerve damage. They may have success with a penis pump.

Question: Have you (or your partner) ever used a pump? Did it work? Was it a turn-on or a turn-off?

Jayden: I haven’t ever seen one used.

Richard: Nope.

2. If they were treated with radiation, the usual reason is damage to blood vessels. They may have good luck with Viagra or one of the other impotence meds. 5. Did you ever change your diet for health reasons? How did it work out? How long did you stay on the diet? The prostate is a sexual organ, and treatment of the prostate changes the sexual experience.

Jayden: I have changed my diet for health reasons. It’s mostly stuck around and I’ve lost a lot of weight.

Richard: I was vegetarian for a while. I had a lot more energy. I’ve thought about going back, but I’m not sure how I’d cook for Jayden then.

1. What is your most favourite thing to wear that you have in your closet at the moment?

Jayden: I have this beautiful blue, pink, and purple dress that’s kind of reminiscent of the bi flag. Every time I wear it, I get so many compliments. It makes me feel confident and pretty.

Richard: Nothing is my favorite. Second is probably my aloha shirt collection.

2. What is the one item of clothing that you have seen on one of your friends / workmates that you would steal for yourself if you had the chance?

Jayden: My one workmate wears corduroy boot cut pants and I love them!

Richard: My coworker wore an aloha style shirt with like 20 different rock band logos today. It was pretty sweet.

3. What is the one thing that your partner wears that never fails to turn you on. Why does it turn you on so much?

Jayden: Um. What about when he doesn’t wear anything at all?

Richard: (What about the danger robe?) Batman pants!

1. Who is your closest celebrity look-alike? And, who do you think is sexier, you or the celeb?

Jayden: I have no idea. I don’t think there are a lot of celebrities who look like me. 

Richard: Is that a thing people know off the top of their head?

2. Who is the hottest male AND female celebrity you can think of? And, if the opportunity presented itself would you have sex with them?

Jayden: Male: Pierce Brosnan; Female: Angelina Jolie. I would like to.

Richard: Jeff Goldblum and… I dunno, Natalie Portman was pretty hot like 10 years ago? Maybe still is?

3. What celebrity do you fantasize about, but wouldn’t admit it to your friends?

Jayden: I have no shame. I’d admit any celebrity fantasies to my friends.

Richard: I don’t even know the last time I had a celeb fantasy.

1. Have you ever danced naked in front of anyone? What prompted the experience?

Jayden: Probably? In my teen years? 

Richard: Sure, probably like once a week.

2. Have you been to a strip club? Was it what you expected?

Jayden: Yes, it was fun. It was probably about what I expected, but it was 19 years ago.

Any Regrets?

Looking back on our lives, we can have a mix of reactions to the things we’ve done. When it comes to sex, our memories can color us with pride, fondness, nostalgia, indifference, or all too often, regret.

This week’s TMI Tuesday questions delve into things that people typically regret later in life. How much do you regret, if at all, any of the following?

1. Do you regret how you “lost” your virginity? If yes, why and to whom would you have preferred to have lost it?

Jayden: So, I’m going to preface this whole post with the fact that I don’t actually believe in regrets, but there are definitely stories to tell…

I was too young when I lost my virginity. Like, way too young. I was 11. It was my choice. It was just stupid. My neighbor was a good friend and I had a huge crush on him, and well, he was my first. I got VERY lucky that I never got an STD and I later found out I couldn’t have gotten pregnant anyway, but I was lucky I didn’t. My life could have turned out very differently, but I’m glad it turned out the way it did.

Richard: No, it was fine. I lost it to a good friend and there was no trauma.

2. Have you ever lived a moment in your life where you said “Yeah, I’m not going to ever tell anyone about that.” Describe that moment or incident.

Jayden: I’m sure I have. The things that come to mind would be bathroom accidents. Embarrassing!

Richard: I don’t think so. I’m an oversharerer.

3. Do you regret having acted on a sexual impulse? If yes, please describe.

Jayden: Yeah. When I was with my ex, we met a couple and fooled around. They were super awkward. We should have just said no thanks.

Richard: I got catfished once.

4. Do you regret not having had sex with someone who you could have had sex? If yes, would you do it over and have sex?

Jayden: Yes. I had a partner when I was younger and we both didn’t want to initiate sex because we didn’t want the other one to think we were just interested in sex. That was when I learned to just be honest about what I wanted. (And I don’t think it would have changed anything in our non-relationship anyway.)

Richard: Not really. I can only think of one time, and I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t have wound up being a healthy relationship.

5. Do you regret not having asked out or tried to hook up with someone you really liked out of fear of rejection only to later learn that person wanted you, too? If yes, please describe.

Jayden: Yes. I had twins who were both interested in me. I’m sure it wouldn’t have worked out, but I had to choose between them and I was stuck in non-decision. By the time I decided, they’d moved on.

Richard: I didn’t find out that they liked me, but I do think we would’ve been compatible. I worked at a summer camp and had a crush on a guy. Never made a move on him (tried to get him to make one on me). Years later, I find out that he was actually pretty subby, and we had a lot of similar kinks. Oh well.

6. Do you regret having done a particular sex act? If yes, please describe.

Jayden: I don’t think so. I can’t think of anything.

Richard: Nope. I’m pretty boring this week.
