Your choice for Q was Break the Quiet!

“Sevy,” she whispered, hardly able to form words but knowing it was important for him to know what was going on with her.

“Yeah?” he asked. He sounded relaxed, and Aralyn hated to say anything.

“There’s something I need to tell you.”

“Okay,” he said, and there was just a touch of uncertainty in his voice. “What’s up?” he asked cautiously.

“Do you know who Dominico Lapsley is?”

Sevy raised his eyebrows. “The internationally famous movie star, of course, I do.”

“Do you know that he’s married?”

“Of course. They are one of the most famous couples in the world. And then they adopted all those cute kids from third world countries. Everyone knows about all that. They are one of the few ‘Hollywood’ couples who actually seem like they have their heads screwed on right. They don’t even live in Hollywood, do they?” He said all this and then paused, looking curious, “Why?”

She ignored his last question for the moment and answered the one before it. “No, they don’t live in Hollywood. They live in Iowa.”

“Okay, and? Hey, wasn’t there something in the tabloids about them recently?”

“Yeah,” she said, “there was a big thing about how Dominico is cheating on his wife. And it was a big deal because it wasn’t just that he was having sex with someone else. There was more to it…”

“Okay, but why are we talking about Dominico Lapsley?”

“So, you know how I just suddenly turned up here a few weeks ago?”

“Yeah,” Sevy pulled back from her a little bit, looking at her curiously.

“And you know how I don’t know anyone here?”

“Right.”

“I was Dominico’s mistress.”

Sevy let her go abruptly and stood back to look at her. “You were?” His eyes were wide with shock.

“I was.”

“Is that why you…? Did you…?” He couldn’t seem to form a coherent thought.

“I ran away when a reporter spotted us together in a… compromising position… He got a picture, too.”

“Wow,” Sevy looked stunned. He sat down on the edge of the bed. “I can’t believe…”

“I know, the whole thing was crazy. I’m not even sure…”

“Why are you telling me this?” he interrupted.

Now it was Aralyn’s turn to look shocked. “I thought…” her voice trailed off, but she tried again, “I thought you would want to know why I came here and more of my… experience.”

Sevy looked thoughtful for a moment.

How does Sevy react?

He asks to know more about her past.

He tells her he doesn’t want to know.
