Adelaide exuded energy as she excused herself to the entrance to embrace the next guests. “Hello,” she said, sure to keep her bare backside away from the front door, “welcome.”
“Hello, Adelaide,” the woman at the door said with a smirk. “At least, I assume you’re Adelaide since you’re answering the door in nothing but an apron.”
The blush that had begun to fade from Adelaide’s face returned in full force. “I am Adelaide, Ma’am.”
“Turn for me,” the woman directed, and Adelaide hesitated slightly but did as she was told. “Very nice. I see why your Master keeps you dressed that way.”
“Thank you, Ma’am,” Adelaide said. “May I take your coat?”
Within ten minutes, Adelaide’s Master, Derek, told her that all the guests had arrived and that they would be sitting down to dinner. Adelaide peeked out at the dining room as they gathered around the table. Her Master, Derek, sat at the head of the table. He was tall and handsome, and she was aroused just looking at him, sitting there in his polo shirt and trousers. He wasn’t dressed up, but he just looked so handsome.
To his right sat Ester, the woman who had made Adelaide spin when she arrived. Ester was tall, taller than Adelaide, and thin, and she wore a black dress that made her appear both sexy and sophisticated, while also casual. On her other side was Charlie, and then Crystal at the opposite end of the table from Derek.
Adelaide had been expecting more people to arrive, since she had set the table for six at Derek’s direction, but he told her there had been a slight change in plans. “Pet, take away those two place settings,” he said, pointing to the two across from Charlie and Ester.
“Yes, Sir,” Adelaide said, removing them at once. She wondered why he didn’t have Ester sit across from Charlie, but she didn’t want to be rude and ask.
Derek slid something long and thin onto the table next to his plate. Adelaide couldn’t quite see what it was, but she noticed that he was handing three more down the table to their guests. She shifted uncomfortably from foot to foot, watching and waiting for direction. “Do you know what these are, pet?”
“No, Sir,” she said, her voice barely audible.
“These are electric wands. One little touch and you’ll feel the zap of electricity.” Adelaide’s heart pounded in her chest. She had never seen such a thing before, but she’d heard of them, and she was terrified.
