Y is for You

Frank: March 28th, 2026

“Yes, you,” she says.

My smirk turns to a grin. “I’m glad I’m so irresistible,” but then I let the grin drop, “but seriously, I don’t want you to regret anything we do together. It’s so early, but you’re amazing and I’ve really enjoyed being with you.”

She nods. “Me, too.”

A silence falls.

“So what do we do?” she asks.

“I don’t know,” I admit. “Do you want to watch a movie?”

“Sure,” I say.

It takes us 45 minutes to agree on a movie, not because we disagree, but because neither of us wants to make a decision. We pick Jurassic Park. Okay, not the most romantic movie, but it’s a classic. We sit next to each other on the deep couch, and I don’t even remember watching Jeff Goldblum arriving at Isla Nublar…
