Theme Reveal #AtoZChallenge

We are so excited to announce our project for the A to Z Challenge! We liked the Blogging from A to Z Challenge theme of “Bet on yourself to do more” so much that we’re running with that as our theme for our April A to Z.

The Plan:

Jayden is going to write three short-ish stories to run the first 1st, 3rd, and 5th weeks of April, and Richard is going to write two short-ish stories to run the 2nd and 4th weeks in April. Our short stories will center on the theme of a BDSM Casino Resort.

But since we’re betting people, we also want to make a bet with each other.

The Bet:

We each think that we can get more likes and comments than the other, on average, on our posts for the month of April.

Here’s where you come in. Tell us in the comments what the prize should be for the winner! We’ll announce the full terms of the bet at the end of March, so be sure to tell us what you think we should do. Thanks!

-Jayden and Richard

March 2021

March 7 – What was your very first job?

Jayden: I worked at a chicken wing restaurant. It was a fun first job, and I still adore wings!

Richard: I was a camp counselor. It’s still one of the best jobs I’ve ever had, and had a big effect on my path through life since then.

Vacation: Part 5

Here we are with the next installment in Mark and Ivy’s high seas adventures. Everyone excited to meet a new character? Find all the rest here!

Once Ivy was all set with the vibrator attached to her panties pressing right up against her clit, they were ready to go out onto the ship. They had discussed some options and decided to get a drink at the piano bar. Ivy was wearing four-inch heels, and as the ship swayed, so did she. She held onto Mark’s proffered arm as they exited their room. “I can’t even see the end of this hallway,” Ivy said, squinting the length of the ship.

Mark laughed, holding onto her a little tighter. “Maybe we need to get you glasses, slut. Work on some sexy librarian kink.” He reached down, slipping a hand under her skirt and tracing along her thong to feel the wet spot in the front. “Come on, let’s go have a drink.”

March 2021

March 5 – What’s the worst piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

Jayden: That there’s only one way to do something. There are lots of ways to do most things, and we should all embrace our differences whether it be in learning style or relationships or whatever.

Richard: One time, when I was depressed, someone got me a self help book that could basically be summarized as, “Nothing you think matters, God will just make you do whatever you’re supposed to do.” This is poor advice in general, and was especially bad in that mental state.

Choked Up

Did you ever have one of those days? One where your boss was an asshole, your were stuck at work an hour late, and nothing goes right. What do you do? Eat a whole pint of Ben and Jerry’s? Take a nice bath? Push your Dom until he snaps and slams you into the wall?

I walk into the apartment, dropping my bag before the door was even fully open. Whatever was in it, books, I think, skid out across the floor as I stumbled inside with a groan. I blink a few times, spotting you coming around the corner, dishrag over your shoulder. A ragged smile comes across my face.

“Honey, I’m home,” I mumble, taking another slumping step forward.

My eyes are already half-closed when I bump into you. I don’t even bother to say anything, just lean in. I feel your arms wrap around my back. Mmmmm, warm. Safe. Your lips are on the top of my head, brushing through my hair to kiss my skin.

March 4 – Are you living your life purpose — or still searching?

Jayden: I think I’ve made great strides toward finding my life purpose and living it. Many of those strides have been verrrrrry recent, too.

Richard: Definitely still searching. I don’t know what I want to be doing two years from now, let alone for the rest of my life!

March 3 – Do you believe in magic? When have you felt it?

Jayden: I think in general, magic is science we just don’t understand yet. But sometimes magic is a feeling. Pieces falling into place in ways that we don’t understand yet.

Richard: One time, while talking about laundry detergent, I reached behind the couch and felt a bottle of laundry detergent. I still have it, it’s my change jar. I’m a master of detergent-mancy.

TMI Tuesday: March 2, 2021

You’re back! Excellent.

This week’s TMI Tuesday

It’s definitely YOU

1. For you, what would be the worst store to have a $1,000 gift card for?

Richard: The Warhammer store. The main thing keeping me from playing is knowing I’d spend way too much money on it if I did.

Jayden: Forever 21, none of those clothes would ever fit me.

2. Besides a raise or more vacation time, what is the best perk a company can offer you?

Richard: Permanent work from home.

Jayden: Free/better health plan.

3. What are you most likely very wrong about?

Richard: Getting into grad school.

Jayden: Things are totally going to calm down soon.

4. What is something you borrowed but never gave back?

Richard: My ex girlfriend’s desk.

Jayden: My ex’s tape measure.

Bonus: What have you struggled with your entire life?

Richard: Gravity.

Jayden: My weight and self esteem.

31 Questions
March 2021

March 2 – Do you have any irrational fears?

Jayden: Yes! I have a super strong fear of losing all of my writing via fire. It’s on multiple computers and backed up to the cloud, but I am deathly afraid that I’ll lose it all somehow.

Richard: I say I’m going to get fired at least twice a week. They can’t fire me, we’re already super understaffed.

March 2021

March 1 – What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received?

Jayden: “When I’m with you, I might have to admit that I could be happy.” That might not be word for word, but it’s close enough. It was from a person who previously said they didn’t think they could ever be happy.

Richard: The other day, someone told me I was so charismatic that they had a friend whose job is to talk them out of doing whatever I tell him to do. It’s not my fault that I’m smart and sexy. My ideas all sound great because they are!

Checking In

Hello dear readers, Jayden here to give you an update on how things are going for Richard and I in the realm of writing. Back on New Year’s Eve, I had the pleasure of introducing Richard and sharing some of our writing goals for 2021. We wanted to take some time to check in with you all and give you an update of how we’ve been doing.

I will freely admit that consistent writing hasn’t been going very well, but that’s primarily due to some major life changes for both of us, including that we moved in together about a week ago! But now that we’re settling in and finding new routines, I hope that our word counts will jump up.

1 Million Words!

We started the challenge of writing 1,000,000 words in 2021. When I attempted this last year mostly on my own, I was super on track in January! And then February I slipped a little. And then quarantine… And yeah, that was it.

This year, we did not start off super strong, but I have confidence in Richard and I that we can catch up. We wrote 31,445 words in January and 24,173 in February. I guess technically we could write a few more words tonight, but I don’t suspect there will be a ton more coming in today.

Thank you Richard!

I was excited to announce Richard joining me two months ago, but I am super happy to say that it’s been working out better than I ever thought it could. We have posted every Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday, and some additional days. That’s a *huge* improvement over my previous blogging habits, and we’ve seen that with more regular readers. So thanks to all of you who are reading! But I have to give a lot of the credit to Richard, who has sat with me while I dragged out the words to make my personal posts and has collaborated with me as we’ve done our collab posts sometimes wrapping things up just minutes before the scheduled post. I couldn’t have done it without you!

Looking Ahead…

We are excited to answer some questions for you every day of March thanks to Marquessa Matthews. Make sure you check back daily to learn a little more about Richard and I.

In addition, we’ll still be posting on our regular schedule:

Tuesdays:We will both answer the questions from the TMI Tuesday blog.
Thursdays:Stop by every Thursday for one-shots from Richard!
Saturdays:Collaborative Writing – Stories we write together.

And then in April, we’ll take a break from that schedule because we’ll be doing the A to Z Blog Challenge! The Theme Reveal goes up on March 8th! Get excited! I am looking forward to generating more content!

Vacation: Part 4

Welcome to our next serial. A vacation cruise in eight (give or take) parts. Check back Saturdays to see what kind of trouble Mark and Ivy can get into in international waters. Find all the parts here!

Chapter 4:

Ivy heard metal sliding on metal, and she was pretty sure she knew what the sound was. She couldn’t be sure which knife it was, but it was definitely one of the knives Mark kept to torture her with.

Mark undid the clasp at the bottom of the balisong and flipped it open, the metal jingling lightly. He sat down on the bed next to her, twirling it slowly, not touching her with it, just letting her hear the sound. “It’s a shame you have the blindfold on. I imagine this is much more exciting if you can see what I’m doing.”

Ivy shivered, anticipating the cold metal against her hot body. “Yes, Sir,” she said, but the words were barely intelligible through the gag.

Eventually, Mark flicked the blade fully open and slowly slid it up her thigh, “If I find a hair, I’m going to take a break from knife play and beat you. And I know you’ll be very disappointed by that…”

Still Flirting?

Hey everybody! Richard here, with my first solo story for the blog. Jayden will be stepping back for the next month or so to do A to Z Challenge prep, so you’ll be getting a bunch of short stories from me for your Thursday solo content. Don’t worry, she’ll still be around for TMI Tuesday, our Saturday collabs, and maybe a surprise or two…

As the chicken dance came to a close, and the band slowed down a little, she looked around.

She thought she caught a glimpse of her husband in the corner, talking to a couple of his friends. She took a step towards him, then heard a voice behind her.

“Need a partner?”

She looked over. It was one of the guys from the table next to theirs.  He had a navy blue suit and a close-cropped beard, kind of neat and old-fashioned, especially for his age.

“Sure,” she said, taking it, then grinning when he wrapped his other hand around her waist and pulled her in.

“They should give people a warning when they’re going to switch like that,” he said, his chest vibrating lightly against her as he spoke. “Otherwise, pretty girls get stranded, and then they’re stuck dancing with whatever creep shows up.”

Just Wondering…

1. What food did you eat so much of that now you hate it?

Jayden: I don’t think there’s anything I hate because I ate it too much, but there are foods I can only eat occasionally, like egg rolls.

Richard: I really don’t think that food exists for me, but I’ll think about it.

2. What two films would you like to combine into one?

SWITCH!

Richard: The Mummy and Indiana Jones

Jayden: I’m bad at these types of things. I’m going to say Indiana Jones and National Treasure, but I cheated and stole the idea from Richard.

3. What songs do you feel compelled to sing along with when you hear them, even if you do not know all the words?

Jayden: Don’t Stop Believing, I think I know all the words, but I still have to belt it.

Richard: Total Eclipse of the Heart

4. What is the weirdest place you have ever slept?

Jayden: At the dining room table, with my forehead on my friend’s shoulder.

Richard: On top of a table at a pottery kiln.

5. Who is the weirdest person you have ever slept with, and why do you say this?

Jayden: I grew up with a guy almost like siblings. We took family vacations together and everything. Later we dated. In some ways it was kind of weird, but it didn’t last forever.

Richard: In college, I hooked up with a girl whose only erogenous zone was her neck. She didn’t really enjoy intercourse, but she could orgasm from having her neck nibbled very easily.

Bonus: What do you think you do better than 90% of people?

Jayden: Spreadsheets! (But Richard says Beads.)

Richard: GIFs

Vacation: Part 3

Welcome to our next serial. A vacation cruise in eight (give or take) parts. Check back Saturdays to see what kind of trouble Mark and Ivy can get into in international waters. Catch up on Chapter 1 and Chapter 2!

Chapter 3:

Mark leaned down, putting one hand on the back of her neck and growling in her ear. “We’ve talked about this before, slut.” His voice just a hair short of sounding angry. “If you squirm too much, I can’t mark you up properly. If I miss, you won’t get the pretty bruises we both want, or I might hurt you. Do you want everyone who sees you at the pool to think your Master is careless in his beatings?”

A shiver ran down her spine at his words, “No, Master,” she said, shaking her head. The words were stunted by the gag clenched between her teeth, but he understood her perfectly.

He gave her a moment to stop shivering, then started another series with the crop. Light hits, all the way from up on her shoulders and neck, down and across her sides, and over her ass and thighs. Nothing that would leave a mark, just enough to leave her teased and tingling all over.

She tried to keep her body still, but it wasn’t easy. She wanted to buck her hips, arch her back, rise to meet every slap, making them hurt more. But she tensed her muscles, trying to keep still for her Master. She wanted to be his Good Girl.

Trading Up – Chapter 6

Six weeks ago, I started sharing my novella, “Trading Up” with you. If you missed it, check out Chapter 1 Part 1, Chapter 1 Part 2, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4, and Chapter 5 before reading this one! On Saturday, Richard and I will continue Vacation and come back next week to see what surprises we have in store for you on Thursdays!

– Jayden

Chapter 6

Chapter 6

I don’t know what transpires above me, but what I do know is that the hands leave my back, and I’m suddenly not being touched at all. I don’t know where either of the guys is. For all I know, they could have left me alone in the room. I somehow doubt it, but I’m honestly not sure. With the way the sobs have wracked my body, I honestly can’t tell. I’m not even sure how much time has passed. It could have been seconds, minutes, half an hour. I don’t know.

And then I feel them on the bed, I feel the restraints loosened, and then I hear the velcro being pulled apart, and my wrists and ankles are freed. They do it so quickly, it feels like they practiced it.

The pillow is taken away from under my hips. I’m pulled off to the side of the bed.

“Are you okay?” Nick asks me. He slips the blindfold off my face. My eyes hurt from the bright light, which actually isn’t bright at all, but it is compared to the darkness of the mask.

I squint at him and nod.

“Tell me.”

“I’m okay, Sir.”

He nods. “Don’t worry, love. We’re almost done.”

That's Life

1. Who do you prefer to discuss politics with?
a. partner
b. best friend
c. co-workers
d. strangers
e. parents

Jayden: None of the above? I’ll talk politics, but I don’t prefer to do it. I do talk with my close friends and partners though.

Richard: Strangers, because then you can get into pointless internet arguments with them.

2. Which is more offensive to you: book burning or flag burning? Why?

Jayden: Book burning. I’m an author, so… Plus, book burning is generally a censorship issue.

Richard: Book burning, because I don’t believe in censorship.

3. Complete the sentence. Most of all, I want to meet someone who deserves my _____ :
a. trust.
b. loyalty.
c. admiration.
d. love.

Jayden: Trust. It doesn’t matter what type of relationship I’m forming, trust is important.

Richard: Trust, because trustworthy people can be difficult to find.

4. Which kind of fidelity (being faithful) is more important to you?
a. Physical/Sexual.
b. Mental/Emotional.
c. Neither is important.
d. Both are equally important.

Jayden: I would say d. Both are equally important. I was going to say that physical/sexual is maybe slightly more important to me as a poly person, but… then I went the other way. So, yeah. Equally important.

Richard: b. Mental/Emotional because no dick is that good.

5. Would you avoid all contact with an ex if your current significant other asked you to?
a. Yes, of course!
b. No. This would be an unacceptable demand.
c. Only if their justification seems reasonable.

Jayden: b. No one gets to dictate who I can be friends with. I can go ahead and say Richard is going to say the same thing.

Richard: b. I had that argument with an ex and I stuck to my guns then and I would stick to them now in any other relationship.

Bonus: If you were to die, the person going through your belongings would be shocked to find _____ ?

Jayden: I don’t know that they’d be shocked by anything, honestly. I’m pretty open with the people closest to me.

Richard: A stack of cat traps.

Vacation: Part 2

Welcome to our next serial. A vacation cruise in eight (give or take) parts. Check back Saturdays to see what kind of trouble Mark and Ivy can get into in international waters. Catch up on Chapter 1!

He laughed a little as he crawled over her, the familiar weight of his body pressing her down. Trapped. Hot. Safe. Right where she belonged.

“I know that look, my sloppy little slut,” he said. “I remember when just having me on you was all you could handle, but I’ve spoiled you for too long. That look is, ‘What is Master going to do today?’ And lucky for you, the answer is quite a lot.” He reached over into the toy bag, grabbing a bite gag and sliding it between her lips. “Bite down,” he ordered. “Hard.” He reached behind her head, tightening the strap so she couldn’t do much to wriggle around it.

She looked up at him, trusting him to know her, to care for her. There was no way she could say anything to him now, but she trusted that he would break her down to nothing and build her back up. It was the way they had always been, and she loved it.
