Holy shit! I’ve posted 1000 posts on this blog!

From my first post in March of 2015 to now, I this post marks my 1000th post here. I thought this would be a fun time to look back over the 10 years I’ve had this blog and look at how far I’ve come.

But first! We took 1000 photos (kidding, it was actually 169 photos) at a hotel this past weekend (which is why I missed some Feb Photo Fest pictures. I had to finish this post first!). I want to share a few in celebration of Feb Photo Fest and my 1000th post!

Now let’s take a trip down memory lane. I made a few half-hearted posts in 2015, but I didn’t really post consistently until I joined the A to Z Blog Challenge in April of 2016. By the way, that’s coming up again! I’m a co-host now, and we’re planning out our posts as a team! I can’t wait! I didn’t finish on time that year, but I did get through it by July.

Cue another break from blogging. I posted some book reviews in 2017, and then picked up with the A to Z Blog Challenge again. This time, I not only succeeded, but I did it on time! I am most proud of this one, as I was sharing one possible path through my erotic choose your own adventure, Runaway. To this day, it remains the book I’m most proud of. It was a huge undertaking to not only write my first choose your own adventure but to also make sure that every single path worked its way through one letter of the alphabet so that my readers could vote in the A to Z Challenge. The maps I had to create for that book were intense.

There were posts almost every month between A to Z Challenges this time! In May of 2018, I started answering the TMI Tuesday questions, which I still do to this day, even though the official account isn’t operating anymore. 2018 marks the first year I posted every month! That wouldn’t happen again until 2021, and then I had a good streak going until I broke it in July 2024. Once Richard joined me going into 2021, it was a lot easier to maintain my blog. He’s still around answering questions from time to time, but he’s pursuing his own writing projects mainly. We challenged ourselves to write 1,000,000 words in 2021. It wasn’t an easy task, but we did it! That was also the year we picked up Insecure Writer’s Support Group, kinktober, and Marquessa Matthew’s 31 Questions in March.

My blog has gone through many iterations over the 10 years and 1000 posts. I’ve had many times where I’ve felt like I was just talking to myself, but I know there are some faithful readers who have been around for a while. I do love doing blog challenges as it gives me a focus. If you know any good sexy blog challenges I should join, drop us a comment!
