TMI Tuesday: March 29th, 2022

Upgrade your happiness– play TMI Tuesday, a simple pleasure in life.

1. Tell us your top two simple pleasures.

Jayden: Snuggles and warm, fuzzy blankets.

Richard: Sourdough and snuggles

2. You are being a offered a day of pleasure but you must choose one of the following to do. Which would you choose?
a. Sex
b. Watching big sports match/game
c. Fun times with good friends

Jayden: I really want a and c. In fact, that’s my plan for Sunday. Both things.

Richard: What if the big sport match is an orgy with my friends?

3. The sun shining through your window in the morning–annoyance or pleasure?

Jayden: It’s annoying because it shines right in my face when I’m trying to sleep.

Richard: Meh. Kinda neutral.

4. If you uttered the words “pleasure me” to your lover, what would you want to happen?

Jayden: I want him to decide something, haha. I don’t like making decisions. But generally, pleasing me involves touching me, and often orgasms.

Richard: I want to lay there until every inch of me has been rubbed and/or tongued.

5. Tell us one thing you were most grateful for last week?

Jayden: I am grateful for Richard every day. He makes my life so much fuller and happier.

Richard: We started getting random boxes of food left on our door step. It’s a fun surprise!

Bonus: What is the last thing you crossed of your bucket list?

Jayden: Sexually? Orgy. It was an accident…No, really. Oops!

Richard: I don’t have a bucket list.

Special bonus question–one of life’s mysteries: Are fig newtons cookies or bars? (thelatephoenix wants to know)

Jayden: Cookies? I don’t know. I don’t care for them.

Richard: It’s not a cookie, it’s a newton! bar

TMI Tuesday: March 22nd, 2022

This week TMI Tuesday wants to know– are you a cheat?

1. Have you ever cheated at a board game? Why?

Jayden: Not that I can recall. I’ve certainly screwed up rules before, but I’ve never intentionally cheated at a board game.

Richard: Not a board game, but I used to deal out the opening hands in card games without everyone in the room, then peak to find the best one and take it.

2. Which board game are you unbeatable?

Jayden: None. I love them, but I am not unbeatable, by any stretch.

Richard: I’m batting 1000 (1 for 1) at Forbidden Sky.

3. Which mythological creature would be your worst roommate?

Jayden: Mermaid. Our bathtub is way too small.

Richard: Sometimes I think Riley is a mythological creature.

4. Give us a three song playlist. You can link to the songs if you wish.

Jayden: Only You by Calum Scott, All In by Sheridan Reed, Drive by Ben Rector

Richard: Since camp is starting next week, time for the sprintin’, weebin’ NaNo playlist.
Best Megalovania, The Two Good You Say Runs, Bluper Saiyan Theme

5. What famous person have you met or been within a few feet of (music concerts and book signings do not count).

Jayden: Most have been music concerts… like second row at John Anderson’s solo tour. Amazing. But other than that, I met Martin Sheen once when I was a kid. I had no idea how famous he was at the time.

Richard: I worked a Bruce Campbell book signing like 5 years ago. He’s pretty much exactly how you’d expect him to be.

Bonus: Is a hot dog a sandwich?

Jayden: I once had an hours long debate about this with my step daughters. I didn’t care, but it was funny to watch them argue. I honestly have no opinion.

Richard: Yes. It’s meat inside of a roll. There’s no reasonable debate.

TMI Tuesday: March 15th, 2022

Writing made easy–play TMI Tuesday.

1. When you need to get serious, good writing done where do you go?

Jayden: Panera. I get my best writing done there.

Richard: For a walk! And then my desk.

2. Where do you look for inspiration to write?

Jayden: Often my own life, or at least my fantasies.

Richard: Outside on my walks.

3. If you could add anything to your office what would it be?

Jayden: Uh, doors? My office is the living room.

Richard: Existing.

4. Are you an app calendar/planner (ie., g-cal, outlook) kind of person or do you still prefer a physical planner?

Jayden: I hung onto my physical planner for a really long time, but now I’m all digital.

Richard: I have a wife.

5. When you jot down notes do you use pen and paper or put it into an electronic device (tablet, smart phone, etc)

Jayden: I always have my phone on me, so usually electronic. I even switched to electronic at work.

Richard: Pen and paper

Bonus: March 15 is National Shoe World day. a holiday that illuminates the need for quality footwear for millions of people around the world who go without. What quality pair of shoes would you pick to gift to someone? Post a link or pic.

Jayden: New Balance sneakers. They are the best. Richard and I both bought a pair. Him – because he’s worn them forever; me – because women’s shoes have never fit me well, so I tried men’s, and…oh my goodness, my toes aren’t cramped!

Richard: I had an amazing pair of Red Wing Oxfords years ago. More comfortable than most sneakers, and they held up as my daily drivers for like two years. I don’t think they make them anymore, but I check their website/stores once or twice a year.

Back again I see. Welcome. TMI Tuesday is posted!

Oops… we did it and I forgot to post it, so here it is, a bit late!

Some things to think (and write) about …

1. Under what circumstances would you fake your own kidnapping?

Jayden: Fake for whom? Richard can “kidnap” me anytime he wants…

Richard: I’ll do it right now, don’t tempt me!

2. Do you feel you belong?

Jayden: Nope.

Richard: No.

3. In your life, what is a fun thing you did that you will never do again?

Jayden: Write 1,000,000 words in a year (with Richard’s help).

Richard: Cramming modern components into a 30 year old server case.

4. Do you listen to your inner voice?

Jayden: Sometimes.

Richard: Yes. Aphantasia is terrifying.

5. What can you hear?

Jayden: From my inner voice? Self doubts. Lots of it.

Richard: Mostly narration.

Bonus: Do you know yourself?

Jayden: Most of the time it seems like I do. And then some things surprise me.

Richard: Probably not.

Happy TMI Tuesday!

TMI Tuesday: March 1st, 2022

Life, it is what it is. And what is is TMI Tuesday!

1. Covid dating behavior:

– Are you choosier?
– Are you less choosey?
– Are you more frank and up front about what you want?

Jayden: Richard and I started dating during covid. It was weird. A lot of takeout and homecooked meals. Going out for a meal was a novelty.

Richard: I was *trying* to be good, until someone seduced me!

2. What is stable in your life? Answer Yes or No as in “yes, this is stable” or “no this is not stable”. Elaborate if you wish.

– Job
– Finances
– Romantic relationship
– Economy of your country
– Mental health
– Physical health

Jayden: I think all of them are as stable as they’ve ever been. I have a good job, my finances are pretty under control, my relationship is very happy, and my physical and mental health are good. The economy, well. Whatever. I won’t go there.

Richard: I would say romantic relationship and physical health are fairly stable. The rest, not so much.

3. Have you lived in a different country than the one you were born? Did you have to learn the language?

Jayden: Nope. I’ve barely lived away from a half hour radius.

Richard: No.

4. Can you speak any other languages?

Jayden: I’ve been working on Spanish, and I took years of German. But nothing fluent.

Richard: I think my Spanish is marginally better than Jayden’s.

5. How do you manage your fears?

Jayden: If it’s a legit fear, I talk it out. To everyone. My husband, my best friends, my therapist… If it’s just anxiety, I do the same, and sometimes take meds and/or play piano.

Richard: You just gotta go do the scary things.

Bonus: What would you pick to add to your coffee, Baileys, Amaretto, or Whisky/Whiskey?

Jayden: I don’t like coffee or any of those add ins. I’ll take tea with a splash of peach schnapps, please.

Richard: I usually do my coffee black. I enjoy a Scotch Hot Chocolate on occasion.

Happy TMI Tuesday!

TMI Tuesday: February 22nd, 2022

1. What did you last savor and when?

Jayden: A donut, covered with crushed peanuts. Yum.

Richard: Hot fudge sundae. Mmmmm

2. Athletic mind blowing sex or slow sexy romantic sex, what do you want right now?

Jayden: Yes please? I guess slow and sexy romantic sex if I have to choose, but both please?

Richard: Jayden has never had slow, sexy, romantic sex in her life. So I’m going to pick that too, just to see if she can do it.

3. You are being interviewed and asked to comment on sex-work. What do you have to add to the discussion?

Jayden: Sex work is valid work. We should be protecting people who are providing this service, not criminalizing.

Richard: I feel like I need more context? Broadly, I think we should decriminalize and regulate sex work, the same as we do most other things.

4. Should sex-work be decriminalized?

Jayden: Absolutely.

Richard: Yes.

5. Fill in the blank. Don’t _____ .

Jayden: Don’t be a dick.

Richard: forget to drink your Ovaltine.

Bonus: Are you bored with people who are successful and unhappy? Why?

Jayden: I don’t know if “bored” is the right word. It sucks to be successful and unhappy, but at the same time, how do we define success? The old adage goes, “Money doesn’t buy happiness.” (Please note that there is absolutely a point where this is invalid. Excessive amounts of money don’t buy happiness but when most of your problems can be fixed with a moderate amount of money, then that’s a different story.)

Richard: I don’t think I have any particular opinions on successful/unhappy people as a catagory.

No those are not frozen ice-pops. Today TMI Tuesday posts on Monday, February 14, and it is Condom Awareness Day!

1. One of my ideas is to someday create _____ .

Jayden: … a happy home.

Richard: a race of atomic supermen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_JYSPZznSA

2. Do you travel lightly?

Jayden: In terms of packing… NOPE.

Richard: Yes. If it doesn’t fit in two carry on sized bags, you don’t need it.

3. How would you create the best dressed baked potato?

Jayden: Sour cream, cheddar cheese, bacon bits… yummm.

Richard: A bow tie.

4. The best thing you tasted over the weekend was _____ .

Jayden: Hm. It’s Friday (we’re SO late) so the weekend was long ago. Oh, but we went to this really fancy restaurant. They had some amazing foods, but I think the peanut butter cheesecake was the best.

Richard: Fancy scotch!

5. What do you wish you had payed attention to?

Jayden: High School History class. I really just didn’t pay attention beyond trying to get an A in the class. I wish I had learned more.

Richard: Bitcoin in like 2012.

Intimacy

1. How do you survive an intimacy famine?

Jayden: Apparently I find other sources of intimacy. When it was lacking in the before times, I found others who could provide it for me. I didn’t even realize it was a deficit. I just…filled in the gaps.

Richard: Snuggle the cat. And roleplaying with people online.

2. The loss of which one of these would most affect your mental health or outlook on life?
a. Loss of physical intimacy
b. Loss of emotional intimacy

Jayden: Both would be awful. I don’t know how I could exist without them. I guess probably physical since at least I have a therapist.

Richard: I’m going to go with B, only because I think it implies the loss of A as well.

3. Gives us a tip on how to get more intimacy in our day-to-day lives.

Jayden: Live with someone who you can be intimate with? I have nothing more there. Sorry.

Richard: Set a snuggle alarm.

4. Do you think modern technology helps or hinders intimacy?

Jayden: It helps emotional intimacy but hurts physical intimacy. Richard and I got very emotionally intimate thanks to the internet.

Richard: I think it mostly helps (easier to find and get in touch with people) but it can be distracting.

5. Would you utilize the services of a professional cuddler?

Jayden: If Richard weren’t available, sure. But Richard is an excellent cuddler. In fact, I’m going to go cuddle him right now…

Richard: My ex was a professional cuddler, and I cuddled her plenty of times. So, I guess that’s a yes.

TMI Tuesday: February 2nd, 2022

Well hello there. Time to tell all for TMI Tuesday blog.

Scooby Booby

1. Does anyone still eat Jell-o? Do you?

Jayden: I like Jell-o from time to time, but it’s been a long time…

Richard: I just turned down Jell-o tonight!

2. Tell us about 10 things that scare you.

Jayden: 10? That’s a lot of things. Bugs. Spiders. Falling (sort of. Not really afraid, but I don’t like the feeling). Not being good enough. That’s gotta count for at least 10.

Richard: Ughhh, 10? Ants, 10 ants. I’m more scared of ants than I am of the next 9 things, I’m pretty sure.

3. If you were a rap artist what would your stage name be?

Jayden: I don’t have a clue… I used the generator provided below, and it came up with Inspectah Loving. I’m going with it.

Richard: DJ HOT LUNCH. The generator gave me Tots-Metal.

4. What is one thing you have had since childhood?

Jayden: I have a blanket and some stuffed animals that I keep around.

Richard: A giraffe my grandfather carved.

5. Romantically speaking I am an A+ when it comes to _____ .

Jayden: I’m really good at big gestures. I had an amazing proposal plan. It went off (almost) without a hitch.

Richard: Snuggles!

* Scooby Booby is my rapper stage name generated here: https://www.name-generator.org.uk/rapper/.

TMI Tuesday: January 25th, 2022

Writing prompts, come get your writing prompts and have fun with TMI Tuesday blog.

1. I struggle with _____ .

Jayden: Insecurity. I can’t seem to shake it, but Richard does a good job reassuring me.

Richard: Dry skin. We got a humidifier, I hope it’ll help.

2. What do men like to talk about?

Jayden: Swiss Army Knives.

Richard: She’s right!

3. Do you eat food samples in grocery stores (consider pre-covid times)?

Jayden: Hell yeah! It was like appetizers on a Friday night!

Richard: Of course, why wouldn’t I?

4. What don’t you have figured out?

Jayden: Everything.

Richard: The dishwasher.

5. What would you wear for camouflage if you were hiding on a gingerbread house?

Jayden: Candy buttons, I guess?

Richard: I can make gingerbread, so I’m just going to use this as an excuse to make a couple pounds of it. I still have some tweaks I want to try for the recipe, so it’ll be a good chance to experiment.

Bondage and Dwarfs

So, oops. Usually I (Jayden) set up TMI Tuesday and send it to Richard to finish. This time he set it up, and…I forgot to go finish! Oh well. So we’re a week late…

1. What is one thing a your significant other could do to you to rock your world?

Jayden: I dunno, he rocks my world pretty regularly. A nice CNC scene would be fun.

Richard: I’ve been in a cuckold mood lately, so if she wants to find us a cuckcake that’d be pretty cool.

2. You have been granted the super power you always wanted. How will you abuse that power? Why

Richard: To repeat myself from Bloganuary tonight: David Xanatos some bitcoin.

gargoyles gifs | WiffleGif

3. For sexy play, would you rather be tied up or tie someone else up? Why?

Jayden: Be tied up.

Richard: I like both. At the moment, I think I’m in more of a being tied up mood.

4. What is your best physical and non physical asset?

Jayden: Physical, my boobs. Non-physical, my positivity.

Richard: Physical, probably my dick. Non-physical, my sense of humor.

5. Referring to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, if they were naming new dwarfs beyond the seven what would your name be and why?

Jayden: Uhh, I’d probably be happy, so…

Richard: You obviously want me to say horny, anonymous internet blog person.

Be sure to visit other TMI players, read, and comment if you wish.

Happy TMI Tuesday!

TMI Tuesday: January 11th, 2022

TMI Tuesday is posted, asking you to write about your first. . .

1. First app you check in the morning?

Jayden: Whatever notification is on top, usually. Unless I see something important. Often it’s Google Chat where I talk to my best friends. ❤

Richard: Usually Discord, so Jayden can ask permission to go the bathroom.

2. First kiss location?

Jayden: Uhh, my house, I suppose. I was pretty young. Too young.

Richard: Like, first first kiss? Probably the playground in elementary school. First “serious” kiss, the banquet hall we had junior prom at.

3. First major purchase over $1000?

Jayden: I guess my first house? I don’t think any of my laptops have ever been over $1000 and I didn’t buy any appliances when I lived in the rental. Oh, my first car? But my parents bought it and I paid them over a few years, so I don’t know that that even counts.

Richard: A bed. We still have it as a guest bed. Good bed. Anne Hathaway worthy.

4. First song choice in karaoke song book?

Jayden: I usually pick My Baby Loves Me by Martina McBride.

Richard: Something fun that everyone can sing along to like Sweet Caroline or Build Me Up Buttercup.

5. First internet screen name?

Jayden: I’m not telling because I still have it on my emails and such for my real accounts, not my author name accounts.

Richard: I think it was Psycho something, and I’m pretty sure I spelled Psycho wrong, because I was like 12.

6. First break up reason?

Jayden: Distance? I guess. I mean, it was half an hour away, but when you’re young and can’t drive, that doesn’t work well.

Richard: Probably also distance. It’s hard to be in a relationship when you work and live at a summer camp, and you only get about 24 hours a week off.

7. First concert and how old were you?

Jayden: I was 10. Joan Armatrading. My mom didn’t want to go, so my dad took me instead.

Richard: I saw TSO for Christmas in my early 30s? I don’t know, I always say none of the ones I’ve been to count.

8. First crush?

Jayden: I remember him well. If I’d had a son, I would’ve named him for that guy. But he passed away when I was in college. It was really sad.

Richard: I dunno. I had a couple crushes in elementary school, but I couldn’t tell you their names.

Bonus: What was the title of your very first blog post?

Jayden: First Post! All the way back on March 5, 2015.

Richard: I don’t think it had one? It was on Xanga though.

Happy TMI Tuesday!

TMI Tuesday: January 4th, 2022

Wishing you all a wonderful 2022. Now for the first TMI Tuesday of the year 2022.

1. Do you feel that happiness is luck or is it a practiced mindset?

Jayden: A practiced mindset, at least for me. I know people who have terrible luck that saps away their happiness.

Richard: Luck. You’re either born into circumstances that allow you to be happy or you’re not.

2. If you could transport to the happiest place in the world where would you be?

Jayden & Richard: Finland. According to the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network, “Finland has been the world’s happiest country for four years running.” Source.

3. In 2022, what will you do to improve your health?

Jayden: Walk more. Move more. Eat less. Eat better. A little vague maybe, but that’s all I can commit to right now.

Richard: Walk more. I used to walk all the time, but I haven’t made time for it lately.

4. What is your money psychology?
a. Money worshipper: Those who associate money with security, but in a kind of arbitrary way. The danger is no amount of money is ever enough.

b. Money avoidance: When you tend to think of money as bad, corrupting or just something you do not deserve. This can manifest in many ways, such as, not trying to negotiate a raise at work or avoiding looking at your retirement account.

c. Money vigilance: These people seem really great with their money, but there is a lot of anxiety around actually using it. This type can be great savers but rarely treat themselves.

d. Money status: People with this mind-set see money as a way to feel good about themselves and appear a certain way to others. These folks tend to run up credit card debt, pick up tabs they cannot afford and otherwise mismanage their money — while judging others who do not have the same status symbols.

Jayden: b. Money avoidance. I don’t feel like any of them really fit me, but I guess that’s the closest one. I definitely had a lot of anxiety last time I had to negotiate salary.

Richard: a. Money worshipper. It’s a factual statement, and I don’t understand how anyone can be anything else.

Bonus: Do you have any goals for your blog in 2022?

Jayden: Just to be more consistent. With bringing on Richard at the beginning of 2021, I was a lot better, even posting many days in a row for a while, but then life got busy and we fell off the wagon. It’s fine, though, we still kept up with most things, and hopefully 2022 will be a little more settled, so I can post more consistently.

Richard: Actually publish it so people can read it.

Happy TMI Tuesday!

TMI Tuesday: December 21st, 2021

Often it is the small things in life that bring us joy and clarity. Welcome or welcome back to TMI Tuesday.

1. Do you have a favorite author? Who?

Jayden: Mary Higgins Clark. She was the first mystery author I read. I have loved her since I was a kid.

Richard: I would like to preface my answer by saying that Jayden’s is the most un-Jayden answer possible. I have never seen her read a mystery in my life. I was really expecting Laurel K. Hamilton or something.

I’m going to go with Phillip K. Dick. For today anyway, It’ll be someone else tomorrow I’m sure. I think he hits the sweet spot between “thinky” lit-fic and “pulpy” pop sci-fi.

2. Do you make your bed each morning? Why?

Jayden: Yeah, mostly, just because otherwise the cat will get into the bed and I’m allergic.

Richard: I sort of make the bed every morning, because Jayden goes to work earlier than me. When she gets up, I pull her pillow and tiny snuggle blanket under the covers to cuddle in her absence, and then I make sure the comforter is pulled over all her stuff when I get up. I don’t tuck the corners or anything though.

3. What is one recipe that gets you through busy, hectic times?

Jayden: Recipe? Uhhh. If I’m really slammed, I’m a hot pocket kind of girl.

Richard: I don’t know if it counts as a “recipe”, but when I’m short on time I often make a pseudo-ploughman’s lunch. Butter up a big hunk of sourdough, grab an apple or whatever fruit is around, slice up some cheese (or grab the pre sliced) and pour a tall glass of milk. Takes less than 5 minutes to put together, very filling, and a total comfort food.

4. For therapeutic venting, who do you call–friend, sibling, parent, significant other?

Jayden: I call Richard. But I also have a therapist and several friends. Sometimes I vent more than once.

Richard: Most of my venting is work related, so I have one or two work friends that are probably my most common. Non-work (grad school being stupid) related, definitely Jayden.

5. When did you last de-clutter the camera roll/pics on your smartphone?

Jayden: Ummm. I guess when I got my new phone in February/March?

Richard: I probably do it a couple times a year if I’m waiting in line or something, really bored, and can’t find an article to read. I also take like 2.3 pics a month on average.

Bonus: What is the subject of your next blog post?

Jayden: It’s a good thing we did this one late! The next post is going to be a year-end wrap up about our 524 sexes, a million words, and a special surprise!

Richard: For my non-Jayden blog, I think my next post is about can openers.

Happy TMI Tuesday!

TMI Tuesday: December 28th, 2021

So long 2021. The final TMI Tuesday for this year is posted. Except for the one from last week that we’re going to do later.

1. My favorite thing about 2021 was _____ .

Jayden: Eloping! It was so fun. Being able to just be us, no one else. It was wonderful.

Richard: Everything we did after eloping! The dinner, the sex, the walk. I assume Jayden is counting that in her answer, but I want to be slightly different.

2. What is something that happened to you in 2021 that you never want to forget?

Jayden: I could say eloping again. But I’m going to say finding my strength. I am a very different person now than I was a year ago, and I appreciate the struggles I went through and the self reflection (and therapy) that helped me get here.

Richard: I’m just going to say eloping.

3. What would you like to do differently next year?

Jayden: I would like to stay married to my husband!

Richard: Next time, we get married in front of a bunch of people!

4. How do you honor the past while staying focused on the future?

Jayden: There are so many good things from my past, and I am grateful for all of them. But they don’t dictate my future. I like to look ahead and plan and keep my eye on the future, while always remembering the past. We tell stories about good (and sometimes bad) things that have happened, and of course, I take lots of pictures.

Richard: I read this one like five times, and I still don’t know what to say for it. I put chocolate ice cream on my apple pie, which is very untraditional, because my grandfather did it.

5. Next year I am excited to _____ .

Jayden: Publish! This whole writing 1,000,000 words in 2021 was insane. I don’t know what I was thinking, and we’re still short on words with only a few days to go. In 2022, I want to focus on publishing. I’ve generated so many words and written so many novels, but I haven’t published in a long time, so I want to try to do more of that in 2022.

Richard: Have our big wedding party!

Bonus: Do you feel jaded at all?

Jayden: No, I don’t think so. I’m the sunshine!

Richard: I’ve been jaded since I was like 10.

Happy TMI Tuesday!

TMI Tuesday: December 13th, 2021

Come on and play TMI Tuesday; it’s posted!

1. If you found a fountain of youth, would you swim in it?

Jayden: Sure. It would be great to be young forever!

Richard: I would like to keep my knees at least semi-functional for as long as possible, so yes.

2. Share a quick story about your misspent youth.

Jayden: One time, I was hanging out with my friend and his friend who I barely knew. I ended up giving him a blow job behind a drug store. It was pretty hot, in retrospect, but pretty dumb. I did a lot of things I shouldn’t have as a teen. Lucky for me, nothing bad came out of it.

Richard: Once upon a time I did absolutely nothing productive for 18 years, because I wasn’t allowed. The end.

3. Some people say that youth is a state of mind, do you agree?

Jayden: Somewhat. There’s only so much your mind can do over your body in the long run.

Richard: I dunno, I was born a crochety old man.

4. Do you feel that you wasted your youth?

Jayden: Not particularly. I did a lot of things. I learned a lot of things. I am a much, much happier adult because of it.

Richard: I think youth in general is a waste, and people should endeavor to get past it as quickly as possible.

5. Are you anxious about death?

Jayden: Sometimes. I have a young daughter I wouldn’t want to leave behind. And I have so many friends who would miss me. And I’m not done living life. There are so many more things I want to do.

Richard: Not particularly.

Bonus:  When do you dislike too much chatter?

Jayden: In the shower, probably. Early in the morning, I have time to reflect and think and wake up. I’m not very chatty then, although there’s no one to talk to me early in the morning, so that’s fine. 🙂

Richard: Pretty much all the time. I’m a pretty quiet person, and I don’t really get the need to fill silence just for the sake of it that some people have.

Happy TMI Tuesday!

TMI Tuesday: December 9th, 2021

Happy December! Just a few more TMI Tuesday blogs to go in 2021.

Consider Sex

1. Do you consider your sex to be “conventional”? Why or why not?

Richard: Probably not. Walltersports are fairly unconventional.

Jayden: Not really. There are many people who have the same kinks as me, and some of them are my friends, but I still think our sex is pretty unconventional. Also, the fact that we’ve had sex over 500 times so far this year is pretty unconventional.

2. Gender Identity–How do you describe yourself? (Mark one answer)

a. Male
b. Female
c. Trans Male/Trans Man
d. Trans Female/Trans Woman
e. Genderqueer/Gender NonConforming
f. Different Identity

Richard: Male, more out of convenience than out of any strong preference.

Jayden: Female. I respect/support/believe people who have a different identity, but I do feel strongly that I fit the gender I was born with. (Also on that note, I don’t understand why anyone would choose to be trans. Being true to oneself is not easy in this society, which is my biggest argument for why your identity is not a choice, but simply who you are.)

3. Sexual Orientation–Are you exclusively?

a. Heterosexual
b. Gay
c. Lesbian
d. Bisexual
e. None of the above, specify if you wish.

Richard: I usually go by pansexual, but bisexual is fine too.

Jayden: I usually say bisexual because it’s the most common “I’m attracted to multiple genders” term, but pansexual is probably more accurate.

4. Is understanding the causes and effects, and the formation of gender stereotypes important?

Richard: They’re important to understand, in the same way that understanding how your plumbing works is important to understand. Actually understanding it in detail would take years of studying, but you should understand enough to know how to unclog your sink, and prevent your pipes from freezing.

Jayden: Yeah, I think so. I think understanding the causes and effects of most things is important, and it helps us to break those stereotypes by understanding where they came from and why they were formed. For example, when I proposed to Richard, some people thought it odd that I proposed and not him, but we had discussed it previously and agreed that the gender stereotype was silly, and if I wanted to propose, I could.

Bonus: Your thoughts on this–“I’m in a committed relationship, and it feels like asking for consent every time we have sex is overkill—is that wrong?”

Richard: Yes. Jayden is a massive slut, but I still think I get some kind of acknowledgement every time.

Jayden: What Richard said. I have given him blanket permission, but he still checks in, which I appreciate it. (And even if there’s a surprise scene, I always have a safe word.) Rape does happen within committed relationships all the time. Far too often.

Simply getting you thinking, and hopefully writing. Welcome to TMI Tuesday blog.

1. With whom would you love to sing a duet?

Jayden: My dad. I’ve done it before and it’s always amazing. Our voices blend very well, and there’s something special about a dad and his daughter. The problem with it is that most duets are romantic. It’s hard to find good non-romantic duets.

Richard: Weird Al. He’s one of the few celebrities that, as far as I know, isn’t secretly a terrible person and I think it’d just be really fun.

We’ll sing… The Saga Begins? Yeah, that sounds good. Drop your favorite Weird Al song in the comments. Also, did you see that sick burn he had on Kid Rock the other day? https://www.vulture.com/2021/11/weird-al-clarifies-he-did-not-make-a-kid-rock-parody-song.html

2. Have you ever cried over a pet? What kind?

Jayden: I was with my dog when he passed away. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I sobbed.

Richard: I cried over a betta once when it accidentally got frozen. He was okay. I think I cried at least once when I lost my last cat.

3. Do you think your personality needs polishing? Why?

Jayden: Sometimes. I’ve been told recently that I’m micromanaging. I dunno…

Richard: What does that even mean? I’m going with no.

4. What is the worst injury you’ve ever had?

Jayden: It wasn’t really an injury, but my feet are so bad that I couldn’t walk unassisted for almost a year. It was pretty awful.

Richard: I thought I was going to bleed to death after a metal bar I was doing pull ups on broke and whacked me in the head. It was fine, didn’t even need stitches.

5. If you had a clone, what part or your life or tasks would you have it do on your behalf?

Jayden: Work. I would sleep in and write and do other fun things.

Richard: I’d just use them to play pranks on Jayden.

Bonus: Gifting supermarket flowers–good or bad?

Jayden: I think it’s good. They’re usually nice flowers and not stupidly expensive.

Richard: Good. All gifts are good. I don’t know that I’d go so far to say that they’re nice flowers, but (other than stupid smelly ones like lilies) any flowers are better than no flours.

See you all tomorrow for Insecure Writer’s Support Group. NANO IS OVER! We only need about 180 thousand more words, we totally got this!

1. You found bags of money, in an empty storage room. It appears to be around $100,000 cash (usd). Do you:
A. Take the bags home, count the money, roll around in it, and day dream about how you will spend it

B. Get the hell out of the storage room, leaving the money behind.

C. Take a little money to pay some immediate bills, and maybe enough to cover one nagging debt.

D. Call someone whom you trust and ask their advice on what to do.

E. Take the money to the police and explain how and where you found it.

Jayden: D. I am terrible at making decisions!

Richard: B, 100K isn’t obvious inciting incident to a mob thriller money anymore.

2. Have you had your wallet stolen?

Jayden: Lost, yes. Not stolen.

Richard: Maybe? One time all the money was missing from it. On the one hand, the odds of getting pick pocketed and having my wallet put back minus just the cash seem pretty thing. On the other, I have no idea where $100 or so went.

3. Have you ever been a victim of identity theft? What happened?

Jayden: Nope. Thank goodness.

Richard: I’ve had a card hijacked once or twice, but it was always caught before it was an issue.

4. How do you let loose?

Jayden: Music and maybe some alcohol.

Richard: I just rail Jayden really hard.

5. Finish the sentence: People often say to me _____ .

Jayden: “You look happy!”

Richard: “You’re looking very submissive and breedable today.”

Bonus: Do you have a lot to say?

Jayden: Always.

Richard: Usually

1. What’s for breakfast?

Richard: My favorite thing to make for breakfast is a curry hash. If I don’t have time to make it myself, it’s usually just a granola bar, piece of fruit, etc.

Jayden: “If I don’t have time to make it myself…” meaning whatever I put in his lunchbox. 😉

If I have time, I love to eat a bowl of cereal. Cinnamon Toast Crunch is my favorite. Otherwise, I love omelets and hash browns and bacon.

2. Three words you don’t want to hear during sex.

Richard: Is it in?

Jayden: Is that blood?

3. Stupid shit you shouldn’t do but do anyway. List two.

Richard: Throw things off the loft, and eat too close to bed.

Jayden: Eat when I’m not hungry and spend money when I shouldn’t.

4. One thing you love to hate.

Richard: The Bachelor

Jayden: I like to say I hate exercise, but honestly, it feels good.

5. Today is a great day for _____ .

Richard: Learning how to em dash.

Jayden: The Bachelorette!

Hey, hey, hey, hey…Time to get random again on TMI Tuesday. Why? Because it is fun to know random stuff about you; it can reveal a lot about your personality.

1. Tell us about your sluttiest act ever.

Jayden: Oh jeeze. That’s tough. Maybe sex on the bridge overlooking a highway.

Richard: I went to the park and stomped around in the volleyball sand just so I could send a guy feet pics once. I don’t know if that’s actually that slutty, but it’s interesting at least.

2. Have you ever played air-guitar. . .naked?

Jayden: I don’t know if I’ve ever played air-guitar clothed, so, probably not.

Richard: Probably. I’ve played air-guitar lots of times, and been naked lots of times. I assume there’s some overlap there.

3. To what song do you most like to play air-guitar either clothed or naked?

Jayden: I’m more apt to play air drums. Sorry!

Richard: Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey

4. Are you good in bed? Why?

Jayden: I don’t know? Richard would have to tell you. I’ve had a fair number of partners and none of them have complained, so I guess I’m decent.

Richard: I think so. Mostly because I give fabulous snuggles.

5. What FEELS Sexy to you–tactile sensation? (Leave sight and taste out of this)

Jayden: Touching my nipples.

Richard: Almost anything touching my thighs. Mmmmm.

Bonus: Write a six word autobiography.

Jayden: I did too much. I’m tired.

Richard: I used my Swiss Army Knife.
